The DogCatemy Celebrity Gala – November 5 in NY

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

North Shore Animal League America, the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization, is preparing for our annual fundraiser, the Fourth Annual DogCatemy Celebrity Gala on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Cipriani Wall Street, NYC. We are proud to have Geraldo Rivera, award-winning reporter, commentator, author and currently senior correspondent and host of Geraldo At Large on FOX News Channel (FNC), as our Master of Ceremonies. The DogCatemy Celebrity Gala invites animal-loving celebrities to create videos of their pets, competing for Hollywood-style Crystal Collar Awards.

Among the celebrities participating in the Gala are Beth and Howard Stern, Monica Seles, Maria Milito, Rick DiPietro, Juliet Huddy, Brett Larson and Prince Lorenzo Borghese, with entertainment by recording artist Diane Birch. During the course of the evening, we will also feature our Dollars for Collars program, a showcase of custom designed pet collars, designed by some of the hottest names in the fashion world, including Nanette Lepore, Colette Malouf, Anna Sui, Nicole Miller, Betsey Johnson and Christie Brinkley. All of these collars will be auctioned off at the event!

We hope you will join us, as your support is essential to our mission to rescue, nurture and adopt approximately 20,000 homeless animals each year. The Animal League receives no government funding, relying on donations and the revenue of events, such as the DogCatemy Celebrity Gala, to sustain our life-saving work with these precious animals who deserve only the best.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.AnimalLeague.org/gala09. If you have any questions, please contact Denise Zayas at denisez@AnimalLeague.org or (516) 812-7209.
