L.A. Love & Leashes Pet Store Announces its Grand Opening in the Westside Pavilion Mall

Monday, January 23rd, 2012

Friends of L.A. Animal Shelters is excited to announce the grand opening of a new pet store, L.A. Love & Leashes, that is 100% devoted to saving the lives of orphaned animals. L.A. Love & Leashes provides an alternative to traditional pet stores by bringing dogs and cats from the city’s six animal shelters and making them available for on-the-spot adoptions.

The grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, January 21 at 11:00AM inside the Westside Pavilion mall (http://www.westsidepavilion.com/) on the first floor between Macy’s and Nordstrom. The first ten adoptions will be half price. All adoptions include micro chipping, spay/neuter, vaccinations and the first year license fee for dogs. Join John Paul Pet (http://www.JohnPaulpet.com) and Robot Vegan (http://www.robotvegan.com) for activities and prizes. The special ribbon cutting ceremony begins at 11:30AM with complimentary food and beverages.

L.A. Love and Leashes is a great place to find your new best buddy, a sweet treat for a furry friend, or simply give and get a little love from our in-store VIPs (Very Important Pets). All proceeds go to help shelter animals and support other programs designed to increase adoptions at Los Angeles Animal Services shelters throughout the city.

“We are thrilled to support the good work of Los Angeles Animal Services by facilitating city adoptions at our store,” said Amber N. Yoo, founding board member of Friends of L.A. Animal Shelters. “We hope L.A. Love & Leashes inspires a movement toward humane pet stores in the city of Los Angeles.”
