Like Chiropractic for Elephants: How Animal Chiropractic Can Change Your (And Your Animal’s) World by Dr. Rod Block.

In Like Chiropractic for Elephants, Dr. Block, one of the true pioneers in animal and zoo chiropractic, details the intriguing physical, spiritual, and emotional connection he has discovered and developed between human and animal nature. Based on his 40+ years of experience working with, and understanding the nervous system, Dr. Block explains in depth the relationship between 2-legged and 4-legged beings. Dr. Block reveals to us that animals know what we know and that our animal spirits have a great deal to teach us about awareness, empathy, and personal discovery. Dr. Block has the uncanny ability to tune into the root cause of animal states of disease without the use of drugs or surgery. In Like Chiropractic for Elephants, you will experience some of these miracles. See more information here.

Dr. Block completed his undergraduate studies at the University of New Haven and U.C.L.A., and he completed his graduate studies at the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1969. He received his Veterinary Chiropractic training at Options for Animals in Kansas, and is board certified in animal chiropractic by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. Dr. Block serves as a chiropractic consultant to numerous veterinary practices in Southern California.

Here Comes Santa Paws! With Kimpton Hotels

Monday, December 3rd, 2012

Back by popular demand, the pitter patter of little paws will be heard from coast-to-coast as pets both big and small make their way to Kimpton hotels nationwide to celebrate the return of Santa Paws.

On Dec. 8 and 9, participating hotels will transform their living room lobbies into an animal’s winter paradise with Santa Paws, offering pet holiday treats (human treats too!) and photo opportunities with Santa. Kimpton encourages its furry, four-legged guests and their human companions to bring their own cameras and smart phones to snap posed pictures to their heart’s content.

While dogs seem to delight in Santa Paws the most with wagging tails at the ready, Kimpton’s Santa Paws is an inclusive and diverse event, welcoming all pets as long as they can fit through the front door. In addition, to help animals less fortunate, many of the weekend’s events will benefit non-profit animal shelters and welfare organizations to spread some holiday cheer.

This year, the Santa Paws event will take place at Kimpton hotels in 21 cities from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, Dec. 8 and Sunday, Dec. 9. In most cases, the event will happen on both days at the same location, however there are some exceptions. A complete list of participating hotels can be found below:
