Pet expert Arden Moore knows dogs. She knows parties. And she knows how to party with a purpose. That’s why she created National Dog Party Day with the first celebration set for June 24. She is teaming up with Pet Sitters International (PSI), the creators of Take Your Dog to Work Day™ to unleash a full day of working hard, playing hard, with the goal of hosting celebrations across the country in subsequent years.
The first celebrations will take place in San Diego to benefit the San Diego Humane Society, and SPCA and New York City to benefit the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals®, a coalition of more than 150 animal rescue groups and shelters with the mission of transforming New York City into a no-kill community by 2015 The celebrations will include fun dog party games, cake-baking contests, and much more. Unleash the party animal inside you and bring your cool canine to this doggone grrr-eat paw-tee!
Pet lovers can participate in this double celebration to promote pet adoption on Friday, June 24th 2011. First, offices around the country will open their doors to employees’ four-legged friends for the 13th annual celebration of Take Your Dog To Work Day. Those interested in participating can visit www.takeyourdog.com to learn how to show off their pooches and promote pet adoption.
