The Hotel Hanford, Costa Mesa’s newest boutique hotel, today announced that pets are welcome to indulge with their families in the hotel’s distinctive amenities and charm when visiting Orange County.
Pets receive special treatment under the “Smooch the Pooch” package, which is designed for the traveling pet lover who simply can’t depart from his/her dog during vacation or a business trip. Pooches and their owners will especially enjoy The Hotel Hanford’s convenient location near the Costa Mesa Bark Park and popular Dog Beach in Huntington Beach. According to a 2011 survey by PetRelocation.com, 60 percent of the 10,000 summer individuals surveyed traveled at least one time with their pet in 2010 and 93 percent were planning to take at least one trip with their pet.
“Our thinking is for our guests to enjoy our stylish, modern offerings, while at the same time, give them the freedom to enjoy their pets while staying in Orange County,” said Eric Grimm, general manager of The Hotel Hanford. “It is another way of breaking the mold of predictable, chain hotels by providing a uniquely boutique experience for both travelers and their pets.”
The Hotel Hanford’s “Smooch the Pooch” package includes a room for two people and two pets (up to 50 pounds each) for one night. Pets receive their own bed along with complimentary food, water bowl, treats and toy. This unique and pet friendly package is based on availability. Human complementary amenities include rainwater showerheads, free wired and wireless Wi-Fi, complementary parking and free shuttle to John Wayne Airport. Rates include sales tax and gratuity but do not include occupancy tax or a $50 non-refundable cleaning fee per pet. For more information, please call (714) 557-3000 or visit www.thehotelhanford.com.
