Red Mountain Utah is a Pet-Friendly Destination Resort

Pet owners and animal lovers alike looking to experience an unforgettable active getaway amidst Utah’s stunning red rocks should look no further than Red Mountain Resort. Studies have shown that pet owners are healthier and more active individuals, and as one of the world’s leading active destinations, Red Mountain is the perfect place for guests to celebrate their health alongside their four-legged friends.

Not only does Red Mountain cater to pet owners’ fitness and wellness needs, but the resort also caters to their pets’ needs, pampering them with organic treats, food and water dishes upon arrival. With special deluxe accommodations, as well as a 55-acre scenic backyard and nearby national parks that offer a great space for animals to play in, Red Mountain is the ideal destination for guests traveling with pets.

“With so many owners committed to their pets, it is important for travelers to be given the option to keep their pets in tow, and Red Mountain is proud to offer our guests this rare opportunity.” says General Manager, Tracey Welsh. “With our extensive fitness and wellness programs, Red Mountain is a natural fit for pet owners.”

Those traveling without pets can still experience an animal adventure at Red Mountain through a variety of animal-themed offerings, including:

· Horseback Riding (available year-round, $99 per person) – Geared towards beginner and novice riders, participants take in the resort’s surroundings from a higher point of view as they explore nearby Snow Canyon State Park, the spectacular 7,000-acre park located just minutes from the resort.

· Pound Puppy Hike (complimentary for guests) – Red Mountain raises a paw for this gratifying volunteer experience, which encourages guests to share their exploration of Southern Utah alongside man’s best friend. In partnership with Ivins’ City No-Kill Animal Shelter, guests are assigned a friendly puppy or dog for a three to four mile hike through St. George Valley and Padre Canyon. Participants are supplied with doggie treats, and adoption from the local animal shelter is available and encouraged.

· M.E.E.T. the Mustangs (2 hours, available Sept. 2012-May 2013, $99 per person) – Guests don’t have to be a seasoned horseback rider to enjoy this animal adventure. Led by trained Red Mountain Resort guides, guests will have the opportunity to interact with horses. A truly rewarding experience, this program will enhance participants’ love and appreciation of animal kind. Proceeds support care and adoption efforts.

Only a short jaunt away from Las Vegas and easily accessible from Las Vegas McCarran and St. George airports, Red Mountain Resort is the ideal destination for animal lovers. For more information on Red Mountain Resort’s offerings, please visit www.redmountainresort.com or call 877.246.4453.
