Botanic Bow Wow, Denver Botanic Gardens’ hugely popular event geared toward “man’s best friend” and their owners, is back! This dog-centric affair features pet-friendly vendors, informational booths and enough treat stations to keep tails wagging throughout the day.
Botanic Bow Wow is a unique opportunity for dog lovers to come together and celebrate their canine friends while learning new and better ways to care for their pets. Dogs and owners will mingle with other two and four-legged companions while they learn first-hand about the latest in pet food, pet fashion, pet care and pet accessories from experts from throughout the Rocky Mountain region. Experts include Elizabeth Bublitz with Pawfriendly Landscapes who will be teaching her popular class: “How to Create a Beautiful Pet Friendly Yard”, and Bark Busters’ dog expert, Scott Schwab, who will address common behavioral issues many dog owners face and the reasons behind them.
Animal rescue organization resources, including the Denver Dumb Friends League mobile adoption unit, will also be on hand to help future pet owners find the perfect furry, four-legged friend.
NEW THIS YEAR!!! A doggie and parent breakfast will take place from 8-9 a.m., open to the first 200 people and 200 pets.
Ribbons will be awarded to winners of dog contests such as “Best Trick,” “Cutest Puppy” and “Best Dog-Owner Look-Alike.” Judging begins at 10 a.m.
This family-friendly day allows dogs and dog owners to play, socialize and enjoy the weather as the season transitions from spring to summer. All dogs that come with their well-behaved and leashed humans are welcome at Botanic Bow Wow.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the Gardens’ Annual Fund, which helps support the Gardens’ education, research, conservation and community outreach programs.
This event will take place on the upper level of the parking facility at Denver Botanic Gardens at York Street.
