This hotel is located within walking distance to many dog-friendly outdoor restaurants in the quaint town of Carmel and walking distance to the Carmel City Beach. This is definitely a pet-friendly hotel. Here is an excerpt from the Cypress Inn’s web page ‘Co-owned by actress and animal rights activist Doris Day, the Cypress Inn welcomes pets with open arms — a policy which draws a high percentage of repeat guests. It’s not unusual to see people strolling in and out of the lobby with dogs of all sizes. Upon arrival, animals are greeted with dog biscuits, and other pet pamperings.’ Room rates are about $125 – $375 per night. If you have more than 2 people per room (including a child or baby), you will be required to stay in their deluxe room which runs approximately $375 per night. One dog is allowed for an additional fee of $30 per pet per day,,, each additional dog is an additional $20 with a maximum of 3 pets.

Dogs… come here to be treated first class. Your waiter will bring your pup water in a champagne bucket. They have several outdoor tables with heaters. It’s located in downtown near several hotels and within a 15-20 minute walk to the beach.
