Offering scenic vistas from a stone observation tower, nature trails, stream fishing (a designated trout stocked park), and some great hiking trails, this park is also known for the 2 miles of the mountaintop that resemble a large “sleeping giant”. Dogs are permitted for no additional pet fees. Dogs are allowed at the picnic areas and on the hiking trails; they are not allowed in park buildings. Dogs must be under their owner’s control at all times, and be leashed and cleaned up after.
