Dogs are welcome to stroll the streets of this authentic New England Village with their owners. They are just not allowed in any of the buildings. Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times.

Top 200 Places: Boston’s Subways and Transit Trains Allow Dogs

Both small and large dogs are allowed on the Boston T (subway) and the commuter trains run by the T from Boston. Small dogs may be transported in a carrier. Larger dogs may be taken on the T during off-peak hours and must be leashed and controlled at all times. At no time should a pet compromise safety, get in a passenger’s way or occupy a seat.

Referred to as the Museum of America and the Sea, it is considered to be one of the nation’s leading maritime museums, and there is plenty to see with an authentic 19th century village with about 40 buildings complete with storytellers, a waterfront of tall ships and other historic vessels, a preservation shipyard where visitors can watch restoration of antique vessels, several exhibits and galleries, and a lot more. Dogs are allowed throughout the port; they are not allowed in any of the buildings or on the ship. Dogs must be under their owner’s care, leashed, and cleaned up after at all times.
