Comments:Saturday, October 24, 2009, 11:30 am ? 2:00 pm, Animal Alliance will hold its 5th annual Pet Masquerade, sponsored by PNC Bank Lambertville Branch, Irish Paws Petsitting in Lambertville, and Dogs and Cats Rule in Pennington. Food will be supplied by Union Fire Company?s grill team, and there will be other vendors and great door prizes. Imaginatively costumed pets will join the parade and be eligible to win one of the 13 prizes awarded for: Best Pair/Group ? Best Small, Medium and Large Dog, Funniest, Scariest and Best in show. Registration is $12.00 per dog.
Pre-registration is from Saturday October 3rd thru Sunday October 18th at Pet Shop Girls, 17 Church Street in Lambertville, phone (609) 460-4027 Registration is also available the day of the event from 11:30 - 12:15 with the parade beginning at 12:30 pm. Pet Masquerade is an annual Lambertville tradition to benefit Animal Alliance. All proceeds benefit the programs of Animal Alliance: Rescue, Rehabilitation, Adoption and Planned Pethood low cost spay/neuter clinic.

The promary purpose of the pet expo is to promote resonsible pet ownership and care at a fun family event. The Meadowlands Pet Expo has something for every animal lover. The pet expo offers demonstrations in the dog ring, educational reptile shows, pet adoption groups,petting zoo and pony rides and much more.

Comments:For the second consecutive year ?Oliver,? an English Cocker Spaniel, and ?Lucy,? a Border Terrier, have been named honorary Co-chairs of the event planning committee for ?October Tails,? the Saint Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center?s (SBHPCC) 2nd annual Halloween-themed dog walk fundraiser. The walk will be held in Verona Park on October 25 (rain date is November 1) from 1:00 ? 4:30 p.m. and will feature special guest Maria Milito of Q104.3 FM.The centerpiece of ?October Tails,? will be a Halloween costume contest for dogs, with cash prizes in the following categories: Most Original; Funniest; Most Heartwarming; and Best in Show. The event will also include children?s activities, food, ice cream, beverages, agility demonstrations, obedience games, a pet caricaturist and vendors. The first 100 people to register will receive a free October Tails t-shirt and dog bandana.Ask your friends, family and co-workers to sponsor you and your dog(s) with a minimum donation of $10. Prizes will be awarded to top fundraisers.
