Dog and family activities include Superhero themed contests, dock diving, lure course benefiting the National Canine Cancer Foundation, disc dogs, expert demonstrations, valuable dog topics, vendors, food, entertainment, and much more! 19th annual Hounds and Harriers Run

Comments:Limited entry (150). This 3 mile event requires runners to have canine running partners. Each team receives a multi-colored t-shirt and matching dog bandanna. Awards to dogs in separate male and female runner categories for 1st shelter adoptees, veteran dogs (10 or over), large and small dog weight classes and top 10 places. 2nd short event will be held for senior dogs retired from running 3 miles. Dogs need to be trained to run and be properly vaccinated. See web site for rules and more details.

Comments:The 19th Annual Woofstock event at John Connolly Park in Voorhees, NJ is the biggest pet festival fundraiser in South Jersey! On October 3rd, non-profit rescue groups, vendors and pet lovers from around the tri-state area are invited to join us in promoting animal adoption and to celebrate the love of rescue. This is a fun-filled family community day featuring exhibits, music, food court raffle baskets, pet microchipping, K-9 demonstration, mummers string band and more! Voorhees Animal Orphanage depends on donations for most of its operating revenue, funding vet care, spay/neuter, and our adoption and foster programs. You can help us provide shelter, food and medical care to stray and unwanted animals in South Jersey. Go to
