Activities like testing your dog?s IQ and Pawprint painting will have our favorite four-legged friends howling a good time! There's even a Scavenger Hunt to encourage tricks and commands.

Comments:In conjunction with the Canine Carnival, this event is something to bark about. The 5k along flat and scenic Great Miami Recreation Trail is for Dogs and the People They own. There is a limit of one dog per owner. Although you don't have to have a dog to participate. All dogs must be on a leash no more than 6 feet long. No retractable leashes please. Water stations will be available throughout the courses to keep both dogs and their owners hydrated.

Packets can be picked up on race day at Riverfront Park beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Greater Dayton. Sponsored by the Humane Society of Greater Dayton. Costs:

$20 through September 4; shirt guaranteed

$25 after September 4; shirt and size not guaranteed.

Comments:This ¬?day for the dogs¬? will highlight businesses and organizations specializing in pet health and wellness services, veterinary services, pet memorials, nutrition, grooming, training, pet photos and supplies. The event kicks off with the 5k-9 Run, Walk and Wag for dogs and the people they own. The K9 Crew Trick Thrill Dog Show from Indiana will feature high-energy canine tricks, comedy and high flying Frisbee routines. Continuous activities include: obstacle/agility course, Off-Leash Play Zone, dog adoptions, dog contests and more.
