Comments:The Fischer Homes community of Lexington Run, along with The Pet Alliance and Great Traditions presents Petz Gone Wild! Rescue and Vendor Fair on Saturday September 20th, for families and their pets. Pets and their owners are welcome to this free event.From 12-6 pm there will be all types of entertainment; contests, demonstrations, pet photography, and treats for pets and their owners. There will be over 30 vendors and 6 animal adoption agencies. Anyone looking for a new pet, is sure to find the perfect pupppy, dog, kitten, or cat at this Charity event! The afternoon will kick off with demonstrations from the Clermont County 4-H Canine Drill Team. Other entertainment includes a "Strut your Mutt Parade" with dogs and cats available for adoption. Contests will take place including best human/pet combo, best trick, most talkative, best-dressed, pet owner look-a-like, and most unique pet. All attendees are welcome to register their pet for any of the activities. (one exit east of Route 21) Go North on Richville Drive, approximately 1/4 mile, to PBS building on right.Registration: From 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Evaluations start at 11:00Fees: $20.00 for CGC test only.$5.00 extra for TDI evaluation combined with CGC test.$20.00 TDI evaluation only.Evaluator: Diane RileyWho may participate:All dogs, including both purebred and mixed breed dogs are welcome to participate in the AKC's Canine Good Citizen® (CGC) Program. Dogs must be old enough to have received necessary immunizations such as rabies vaccines. Owners will sign the Responsible Dog Owners Pledge attesting to having the dog under the routine care of a veterinarian who will work with the owner to determine an appropriate plan and schedule for vaccines and other health care procedures.There is no age limit for the CGC test. A dog is never too old to be a good citizen. Puppies who have completed all immunizations and boosters may be tested, however, because we know that behavior and temperament can change over time, when puppies pass the CGC test, owners should have them re-tested as adults.Dogs must be 12 months of age for a TDI evaluation. Dogs must pass their CGC test before being eligible to complete their TDI requirements.Dogs must have current vaccinations. Bring a flat buckle collar and a 6 foot leash for the test.Exercises for CGC test: Accepting a friendly stranger, sitting politely for petting, appearance and grooming, Out for a walk (walking on a loose leash), Sit and Down on Command/Staying in place, Coming when called, Reactions to another dog, Reactions to distractions, and Supervised separation.Additional exercises for TDI test: Reaction to medical equipment, Leave It (Food in bowl), Acclimation to i
