Comments:The fourth annual DoodlesinDewey is held on the beach in Dewey over the last weekend in April. The event is a fundraiser for FOOD and FRIENDS, which delivers home-cooked meals to those with life-threatening illness. Join other families with doodles for a day of unrestricted play on the beach! Comments:Dogs, cats and anything but livestock are invited to participate in the Dover Days Costumed Pet Parade. Entry fee is only $5 per pet and proceeds will be donated to your choice: SPCA or Faithful Friends. Pets will assemble on The Green and parade through the Dover Days Festival to the entertainment stage in front of Legislative Mall. Ribbons will be given in several categories -- Colonial Costumes can enter "Best in Show" category, but all costumes are invited and encourages. Comments:Canine Partners For Life is holding their 4th Annual Canine Carnival at the Independence School, 1300 Paper Mill Road, Newark, DE (Route 72) on April 5th from 10am - 1pm.
Dogs, People, Games and Food, what more could you ask for? The entire family (including the dog) will want to attend the Canine Carnival. There will be games, contests, raffles and more! We will have a variety of vendors, a microchip clinic and more! Specialty testing will be available for C.E.R.F., Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Therapy Dog International (TDI) testing. There will be ongoing educational seminars throughout the day. Bring the kids and the family to learn about service dogs with demonstrations and to watch the dogs working first hand! Dog-friendly dogs are welcome on a regular leash, but please, no Flexi-leashes. General Admission is $5/adults, $3/children 10 and under. Tickets are available for purchase to participate in the contests and games of your choice. TDI and C.E.R.F. testing require advance registration and an additional fee. CPL is a non-profit organization that trains and places service dogs with individuals who have physical disabilities, mobility impairments and seizure disorders. CPL is funded entirely through donations and special events like the Canine Carnival. 100% of the proceeds go directly into the CPL program.
