Comments:H.A.R.T. Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c3) organization and state approved rescue that rescues dogs and puppies and helps find them loving homes. The foundation was started in June 2002 and we make sure that the dogs and puppies are up-to-date on their vaccines, spayed or neutered, making sure they are healthy and then we find loving and responsible homes for them.We are in the process of preparing for a fundraiser/adopt-a-thon and hoping that you can assist us by helping us to spread the word about it. We would greatly appreciate it if you could place it on your calendar of events, newspaper, announce it on radio or TV, etc. With the economy being as it is and people being out of work there are numerous dogs needing homes and this has us searching for funds to take care of the needs more so now than ever before. Families are finding dogs that are being dumped, and are unable to keep them, therefore they contact us wanting to know what to do. Our kennels are always full, as soon as one dog is placed another is waiting for a kennel so we can begin the search for their new family. The needs for food, housing, medical, kennel repairs, gravel, etc. are all GREAT.We are planning an Adopt-A-Thon, bake sale, and also a yard sale with numerous items to try and help raise money for some of these needs. If someone has items (new or used) that they would like to donate for the yard sale or any dog related items (collars, leashes, bowls, etc.) please contact us. Comments:Winston-Salem, North Carolina --- On November 6, 2009 Fur-Ever Friends of North Carolina & Edwina and Buckley Morykwas are offering the citizens of Winston-Salem and the surrounding Triad communities a unique event ? Paws In The City. The Triad?s newest and most innovative fund raising galas will be a sophisticated but a non-stuffy, fun, social event just without the tuxedos, evening dresses and the added costs that normally accompany a formal fundraiser. It?s something different, a recession chic event, a fun night out as well as, raising money, for a deserving cause. The Paws in the City event will raise money for Fur-Ever Friends? Rico Memorial Fund for sick and injured animals. The Rico Fund was founded to help Rico, a Winston-Salem Police Department K-9, undergo costly cancer treatments. In Rico?s honor and memory, the fund has continued to aid hundreds of animals and their guardians in the community. Classified as a 501(c) (3) non-profit, Fur-Ever Friends of North Carolina, Inc. is depending on this event to bring in funding to help its Rico Memorial Fund. Without any government funding, the all volunteer organization with no paid staff is solely dependent on donations and events such as Paws in the City. The Millennium Center has been generously donated by Greg Carlyle and the entertainment for the evening has been contributed by all the performers. The November 6th event begins at 6:30; attendees will be entertained by the 12M Case Band and DJ Nick Peluso of Nick Peluso Productions. Other activities include the Fur-Ever Friends of NC presentation of an original painting of Rico by local artist Raymond Reid to the City of Winston-Salem. The portrait will be accepted by the city?s Mayor, Allen Joines and Police Chief Scott Cunningham. The evening will be filled with a Pawsitively Pawbulous Silent Auction, a Pawtini Diamond Drop and the Kitties & Cats 50/50 Raffle. Boundless Food Stations, Beer, Wine and other non alcoholic beverages are all included
