Comments:Eleventh Hour Rescue holds its 3rd Annual Puptoberfest Celebration on Saturday, September 22nd, 2007 at Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, New Jersey. Puptoberfest is open to all dogs and their families as well as dog lovers throughout the community.
Enjoy a day of fun, contests, games, music, food and vendors for both pets and pet enthusiasts alike. This is a day to celebrate dogs and the joy and enrichment they bring to our lives.
Among the many activities will be a doggie fashion show, Canine Good Citizen Assessment Testing and a special Problem Solving Q&A with an accredited dog trainer. Take part in our Hay Maze competition and have a keepsake photo taken with your family and pet. Many events and contests are scheduled. There will be lots of shopping and kids activities as well. Enjoy the beauty of Autumn with all your family members including the four-legged ones!
There is no cost to attend but donations are very much needed and welcome.

Burlington, NJ ? Each day, 1200 people die from tobacco-related illness and disease. The ?1200 Reasons Memorial Walk? is being held to honor those who have suffered or lost their lives as a result of tobacco use and to help prevent future suffering and loss. The walk is being co-sponsored by the Communities Against Tobacco Coalition and REBEL of Burlington County. Both organizations are funded by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, Comprehensive Tobacco Control Program and operate out of Prevention Plus of Burlington County, Inc.
The walk will take place on Saturday, May 27, 2006 in coordination with Memorial Day on May 29, 2006 and World No Tobacco Day on May 31, 2006. The event will take place at the beautiful Burlington Waterfront from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, rain or shine. Registration is free and will take place from 5:00-5:30pm. There will be a short memorial service provided by the Samaritan Hospice and some noted guest speakers. The leisurely, 2-mile walk will begin at approximately 6:00pm. There will be information available on tobacco, secondhand smoke, NJ Smoke-Free Air Act, smoking cessation programs and other important information for smokers and non-smokers alike. Donations are requested but not required and all proceeds will be donated to the American Lung Association of NJ.
We are inviting all members of the community to walk as individuals or as part of a team from your school, office, church, family, organization, etc. Leashed Pets are more than welcome! Who is your reason for walking?

It will be held at Newton Lake Park off from Cuthbert Boulevard in Haddon Township. The event will be held Saturday, April 28, 2007 from 8 am to 12 pm Registration is from 8am to 9am, we walk at 9am sharp, RAIN OR SHINE!
The Wag-n-Walk fundraiser will be a first time event. The hope is to raise money for The Animal Orphanage facility and the animals they care for. All proceeds go to The Animal Orphanage. The cost is $20 prior to the day of event and $25 the day of event. Walkers can also create a firstgiving.com web page and ask friends and family to sponsor their walk. Prizes will be given away to top fundraisers for the event.
All registrants receive a Wag-n-Walk tshirt and goodie bag. Beverages and snacks will be available for man and his best friend!
Other happening that day; an animal showcase of dogs in need of a loving home, shop and talk with local vendors.

Comments:North East Rottweiler Rescue & Referral holds its 1st annual Rockin? Rottie Poker Run Saturday, May 13th, 2006, at the Tramontin Harley-Davidson Dealership in Hope NJ. Last year, this event was attempted three times, but foiled by mother nature?
This year, NERR&R has joined forces with another local rescue group:11th Hour Rescue, of Rockaway, NJ. This joint effort will be one of their biggest fund raising events of the year, featuring LIVE entertainment plus lots of food and fun for Hog & Dog lovers.
Cash and prizes totaling over $800.00 for participants! Stuffed goodie bags (including a patch) will be given out to the first 150 registered riders. Enjoy the beautiful 60 mile country side ride, then draw your poker hand at the end of the ride.
Along with the poker run, there will be many vendors, artists, door prizes of all kinds, and much much more. This is also Tramontin?s big Open House event, which offers a full day of enjoyment for the entire family.
The Poker Run will leave from the Tramontin Harley-Davidson Dealership, located conveniently off Route 80W at exit #12 in Hope NJ, easy access for both NJ and PA riders alike. Registration for the poker run begins at 9 a.m and the guided tour leaves at 11:00am. Each rider helps defray the cost to save a homeless dog, provide medical treatment, and helps them on their way to finding their forever home. We thank you in advance for your contribution.

Comments:On February 10th, 2009, the Negrini Family of Riverdale suffered a horrific house fire which claimed all of their possessions, as well as the lives of 9 of their 11 pets. After being rescued by the brave members of the Riverdale Fire Department, it was discovered that Judge had suffered third-degree burns on over 40 percent of his body. Judge will require extensive skin grafts in order to heal completely. Judge has suffered his injuries and subsequent painful treatments to remove the dead burned skin without suffering a change in temperament ? he still loves to give paw, eat treats and snuggle up with his family. Judge has an indomitable will to live, and his family is committed to helping him to the finish line on his journey to a full recovery.Please join us on this Charity Motorcycle Ride that will raise funds to cover Judge?s medical expenses. Should any funds be raised in excess of his medical bills, those extra funds will be split between the Riverdale Fire Department and (name of charity), a pit bull rescue group.Ride is on Saturday, August 29, 2009. Comments:The Eleventh Hour Dog Rescue, based out of Rockaway, NJ in co-operation with Powerzone Volleyball Club of Denville will be hosting their first charity fundraiser on Saturday August 6th (Rain date Sunday Aug. 7th) from 10-am to 4 pm at Volunteers Park in Lake Hiawatha, NJ. The volleyball tournament will begin at 9 am. Registration will be accepted for complete teams of six, or individuals who will be grouped together. The teams can be made up of any combination of male, female, youth, adult, any level. During this event other activities will also take place. 105.5 WDHA will be broadcasting live. There will be an adoption reunion picnic, where you can meet some of the dogs previously saved. You can watch the alumni canines participate in dog contests, games and the pet parade. Comments:This is a fun family event. FOWA will have a 1 mile and 3 mile dog walk routs. We will have crafter's, vendors, food, music, dog contests, demonstrations and characters for the children.
All monies raised at this event will go directly to food, medication, vet bills and our low cost spay and neuter program.
Last year over 1,150 people attend the event.

Comments:Friends Of Wayne Animals is holding its 6th annual Craft Fair and Dog Walk to raise money for homeless pets in the North Jersey area. This is a fun family event and will have a band, DJ, food, dog contests with prizes, demonstrations, characters for the children, vendors and crafter's.
There will be a 3 mile and 5 mile walk if one wishes to participate. There will be a $25.00 donation for the walk and if you raise $50.00 or more, you will receive a free walk T-shirt. The fair is open to the public at no charge. All are welcome. You do not need to have a dog to come to this event or to participate in the walk.

Akita Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. This year appointments are being taken ahead of time to insure your space!!
