Comments:Saturday, September 15, 2007 8a-4p. The Bella Foundation is hosting it's annual fundraising event called "A Dog Walk in the Park". All proceeds go to benefit low-income, elderly or terminally ill pet owners with the cost of vet care when it cannot be afforded. Scheduled events are a 1.5-mile sponsored walk, local business fair, pet adoptions through The Oklahoma City Animal Shelter, vaccinations and microchipping through Neel Veterinary Hospital, and live music. Master of Ceremonies will be Cherokee Ballard of KFOR News Channel 4.

VAW is a charitable, non-profit in Oklahoma City, OK that was formed in 1974. Once a year VAW holds their Fur Ball, which is a silent auction and dinner. This is our major fundraiser. VAW is supported entirely by donations and grants.
VAW has the SPOT clinic (Stop Pet Over-Population Today) that provides poor and low-income working families with affordable, high quality spay and neuter services. Since opening clinic doors on February 23, 2006, we have spayed/neutered over 9,000 cats and dogs for low-income families around Oklahoma.
Please feel free to look over the VAW/SPOT clinic website www.vawokc.org. The intention of the SPOT clinic is to educate people on responsible ownership, pet identification and to reduce the number of pets euthanized yearly at our local shelters.
