Listed as a National and Provincial Historic Site, this park tells the story of the rich and colorful past of the spirited citizens who developed this area; stories that come to life through the many activities, stories, exhibits, reconstructions, demonstrations, and special events held throughout the year. They also have an eatery and general store on site; pets not allowed. Dogs are allowed on the grounds; they are not allowed in the buildings. Dogs must be under their owner's control, leashed, and cleaned up after at all times.
