Museums Alaska, an association of the Alaskan Historical Society, maintains museums throughout the state providing ongoing exhibits, information, and self-guided maps about each of their areas. They are open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Dogs are allowed on the self-guided walking tours; they are not allowed in the museum or in buildings. Dogs must be under their owner's control, leashed, and cleaned up after at all times.
