Free continental breakfast, spacious suites, free internet, an outdoor pool and the Space Center five miles away are all to be reveled in at the non-smoking, pet-friendly TownePlace Suites by Marriott Huntsville. The hotel has 86 good-sized studio, one-, and two-bedroom suites in a three-story building. All suites have full kitchens with microwaves (and larger units have two-burner stovetops), full-size refrigerators, coffee/tea makers, toasters, cookware and tableware. The one- and two-bedroom suites have a separate sitting area with sofa bed. All suites have comfy beds, free internet and flat-panel TVs with premium cable. The Negotiator has his ducky slippers on at the free continental breakfast that consists of waffles, cereal, bagels, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, fruit, coffee, juice and more. A lazy afternoon beside or inside the seasonal outdoor pool is highly recommended. The hotel also has a picnic area with barbecue grills, a 24-hour fitness center, 24-hour business center, laundry facility, free parking and a TowneMap and LaunchPad computer center for discovering local attractions. Pets are welcome; an additional fee applies. The hotel is located off US 72, just west of Highway 255. Cummings Research Park and the University of Alabama in Huntsville are about four miles southeast. Downtown is about seven miles east and the US Space & Rocket Center is about five miles southeast of the hotel. If you're driving from Huntsville International Airport, the hotel is 12 miles northeast. The "beds were really comfortable" and "the breakfast had more than enough of a selection" say our guests at the TownePlace Suites Huntsville, an extended-stay concept that's a hit with families.
