Featuring suites with fully-equipped kitchens, free Wi-Fi and two fitness centers, the Candlewood Suites Birmingham was designed with extended-stay guests in mind. The three-story, 98-room Candlewood Suites makes it easy for guests to feel at home with in-room amenities such as free Wi-Fi, fully equipped kitchens, 37-inch flat-panel HDTVs with cable, DVD players, tiled bathrooms and blackout shades. When the weather is nice, guests can throw a steak on the barbeque grill, or just lounge around on the outdoor patio. Guests have two options for exercise: the on-site fitness center, which was renovated in 2011, or the nearby YMCA, which guests have free access to. A on-site convenience store, laundry facilities and a business center are also available at the hotel. Pets are allowed for a fee. The Candlewood Suites is located 10 miles south of downtown Birmingham, and three miles from I-459. Nearby businesses include Blue Cross Blue Shield and Vulcan Materials, both of which are about 10 minutes away. Downtown attractions such as the Birmingham Zoo and the Jefferson County Convention Center are a 15-minute drive up the interstate. The Riverchase Galleria Mall is 10 minutes away in Hoover, and Barber Motorsports is 20 minutes away in Leeds. Hiking and biking in Oak Mountain State Park are a half-hour away. The hotel is 15 miles from Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport. "Nice" amenities like full kitchens, "friendly" staff and a "good location" near the interstate and attractions are some of the reasons our guests like the Candlewood Suites Birmingham.
Dogs up to 80 pounds are allowed. Pets allowed with an additional pet fee. Up to $75 for 1-6 nights and up to $150 for 7+ nights. A pet agreement must be signed at check-in.
