North Mountain is over 2,100 feet and offers panoramic views of Phoenix. There are a variety of trails rated easy to difficult. The trailheads for two of the easy to moderate trails are located at the north end of Mountain View Park at 7th Avenue and Cheryl Drive. The North Mountain National Trail is rated moderate to difficult hiking and the trailhead is located at the Maricopa picnic area off 7th Street (not 7th Avenue). Parking is available. Pets must be leashed and please clean up after them.
