Besides offering a variety of recreational activities, this park is also home to numerous endangered and rare species of plant, marine, and animal life. The park also has picnicking areas and trails. Well mannered dogs are welcome in the park; they must be on no more than a 6 foot hand held leash and be cleaned up after promptly. Dogs are not allowed on beaches, swim areas, or buildings and they may not be tethered to trees, bushes, or park property. Dogs may not be left unattended.
