A gorgeous park created by the building of the Jackson Bluff Dam, it is now a major recreational destination and also a favorite among naturalist for its abundant bird, plant, and wildlife. They also offer an excellent location for private affairs. Well mannered dogs are welcome in the park; they must be on no more than a 6 foot hand held leash and be cleaned up after promptly. Dogs are not allowed on beaches, swim areas, playgrounds, buildings, or food service areas, and they may not be tethered to trees, bushes, or park property. Dogs may not be left unattended.
