This off lead area is located at the 631+ acre Raccoon River Park with a 232 acre lake. There are 10 fenced acres for pooches to run and play, and it is open from 6:30 am to dusk with separate areas for large and small dogs. A park dog permit is required and can be obtained at the Raccoon River Park Nature Lodge or at the Parks and Recreation Office. Dogs must be sociable, current on all vaccinations and license, and under their owner's control at all times. Dogs must be leashed when not in designated off-lead areas.
