The pet-friendly, non-smoking Best Western Fairfield Inn in southeast Iowa offers an indoor pool, a hot tub, an on-site restaurant and high-speed internet access. The single-story hotel has 48 non-smoking rooms that provide free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, coffeemakers, microwaves, minibars, irons and hairdryers. Start your day with a complimentary breakfast in the dining area. For lunch and dinner, head to the on-site restaurant or order room service. A heated indoor pool and hot tub let you make a splash, while free passes to a nearby recreation center help you stay active. Use the computer or printer in the business center. Pets are welcome. Parking is free. The lodging is on Highway 34 in Fairfield, near historical sites like the Carnegie Library, first library built west of the Mississippi, less than two miles away. The McElhinny House is also just five minutes from the hotel. Drive 20 minutes to check out the Johnny Clock Museum, which features dozens of hand-carved clocks. Grant Wood's American Gothic House is a 25-minute drive away. Eastern Iowa Airport is 90 miles away. Dogs up to 80 pounds are allowed. There is a $20 per day pet fee up to $100 for the week. Up to two dogs are allowed per room.
