Located at Downey Park, this off lead play area offers grassy fields with big shade trees, large and small dog sections, watering stations, clean-up bag dispensers, and sheltered picnic tables; an agility area is soon to come as well. A daily pass or an annual permit is required to use the dog park, and can be obtained at the Parks and Recreation office at 2204 West 2nd Avenue. Permit tags must be visible on pets while in the park. Dogs must be sociable, have proof of current vaccinations and be licensed. Dogs are to be under their owner's control at all times, and leashed when not in designated off-lead areas.
