This site was Sioux County's first county seat, but a raid by residents of Orange City who wanted the county seat in their city came and took the safe and county records by force back to their town. Visitors can view the safe and 15 historic buildings at this site. Leashed dogs are allowed on the grounds; they are not allowed in buildings.
