This area is home to one of the largest wind farms in the world producing enough power for more than 114,000 households. To take the auto tour, start from Highway 10 at Storm Lake and go west on Highway 63/610th Street, then north on Highway 27/20th Avenue, east on Highway 16/460th Street, and then south on Highway 31/50th Avenue.
