Located just west of the Heise Hot Springs, this is a wonderful hike for all ages with panoramic views of the South Fork of the Snake River, a superb display of vibrant colors that blanket the hills each fall, a variety of wildlife and habitats, and a scenic overlook. Turn left after crossing the bridge at S. Fork and just north of the Mountain River Ranch head northwest on the gravel road to the trailhead. Leashed dogs are allowed on the trail; they must be cleaned up after.
