The face of the building is carved completely out of Indiana Limestone showing six statues of men each projecting one word; Courage, Memory, Peace, Victory, Liberty and Patriotism. The memorial is open dawn thru dusk and all leashed dogs are welcome outside in the park and around the memorial. They are not allowed inside the building.
