Wired internet access is available for a fee in the rooms, while Wi-Fi is free in the lobby and public spaces. Guests can savor piping hot gumbo on the weekday lunch buffet at the on-site restaurant, which also serves breakfast and dinner. The recently renovated fitness center has state-of-the-art step machines, treadmills and cardio equipment to keep you fit on the road. After your workout, plunge into the sparkling outdoor pool for a refreshing swim. You can copy, fax or print to your heart's content in the 24-hour business center. Valet parking is available for a fee. Note: The hotel will be undergoing renovations until August 2014. The hotel is on St. Charles Avenue, the main thoroughfare between downtown and uptown New Orleans. The French Quarter and its famous architecture and numerous watering holes are two blocks away. Guests can double down at Harrah's New Orleans Casino, two and a half blocks away. The St. Charles Streetcar line passes in front of the hotel and transports guests to the Garden District, an area with numerous Southern mansions and stately homes (a 15-minute ride). The hotel is 13 miles from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and guests can take taxis or airport shuttles to the hotel for a fee. Dogs up to 40 pounds are allowed. Dogs are allowed for a pet fee of $150.00 per pet per stay. Two dogs are allowed per room.
