A popular recreation destination, this 3,000+ acre park has a 243 acre lake surrounded by rugged, forested mountains, offers breathtaking views, and a variety of land and water activities. There are interpretive programs, areas for special events, and easy to challenging trails including a 4 ½ mile trail that encircles the lake and a mile-long gorge trail. Dogs are allowed on the trails, throughout the park, and in designated camp areas; they are not allowed on the beach. Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times.
