Dedicated to restoring, protecting and offering environmental education, this refuge covers some 34 miles, 14,000 acres, and 8 separate sections along the Minnesota River; each offer their own special wildlife habitats, recreation, and activities. Dogs are allowed throughout the refuge except where indicated. Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times.
