Consisting of 7 snowmobile routes from easy to difficult; this trail features 88 miles that are marked and 58 miles of that are groomed when there is funding. The trail begins at the Peterson Creek parking area and leads to the Continental Divide, Champion Pass, several points of interest, the White House Campground, and to Leadville. Numerous unmarked trails and play areas are also accessible along the routes. Maps of the area can be obtained at the Pintler Ranger District at 266 Warren Lane in Deer Lodge. Dogs are allowed on the trails; they may be off leash if they are under strong voice control. Dogs must be cleaned up after on the trails. The trailhead is 6 miles southeast of Deer Lodge. Go east on Milwaukee Avenue to Boulder River Road and then take Boulder River Road to Peterson Creek parking area.
