An open air museum, this living history town has about 150 permanent residents who help visitors get a feel for life in an 1860s gold mining town. There are more than 100 historic furnished buildings with antiques of the era, unique shopping, dining, and entertainment activities, and there is a 1910 fully refurbished steam train and a stagecoach on site. Leashed dogs are allowed on site.
