Map
Although isolated, the natural and historic features provide an incentive to visit Cape Lookout. It offers interpretive programs, a lighthouse complex, and a variety of land and water activities and recreation. This park is either reached by private boat or by ferry. One of three ferries runs all year, the Local Yocal Ferry. Dogs may ride the ferry for an additional $6 fee per pet and dogs must be leashed at all times. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended, and they must be on no more than a 6 foot leash, and cleaned up after. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are no electric or water hookups at the campground.
