Set among beautifully landscaped tree-lined streets, this memorial plaza holds a 9 foot, 900 pound bronze statue of the racing star dedicated by his hometown friends and family, plus a granite monument that was bequeathed by his fans. The Visitor Center (200 West Street) also has an on-going exhibit highlighting Earnhardt's career. Dogs are allowed throughout the town and at the plaza. Dogs must be well mannered, under their owner's control, leashed, and cleaned up after at all times.
