A branch of the University of NC at Chapel Hill, this botanical garden offers nature trails, natural areas, display gardens, and an information center. Friendly dogs are welcome on the trails and in several other areas; they are not allowed inside fenced garden areas. A pail of water and a pet tie-up post is provided for those wanting to enter these areas. Dogs must be leashed and under their owner's control.
