Once the largest man-made reservoir in the world, this lake is popular for swimming, boating, fishing, camping and hunting in certain areas. While dogs are not permitted on any designated swimming beaches, they can go into the water outside of the buoyed areas. Dogs are also welcome at the campgrounds. Pets must be leashed, cleaned up after and are not allowed inside any buildings. To get there from Columbus, head west on Route 33 to St. Marys (33 becomes 29 at St. Marys). Stay on the four lane road to Route 364, then go south to 703. Take 730/364 East to the park entrance.
