This lake is popular for boating and fishing. Dogs are allowed at this park including on the 7 miles of hiking trails and in the campgrounds. While they cannot go on the sand beach, dogs can go into the water at a designated spot. From the main beach, head north along the sidewalk which will make a sharp left turn to the water. From that point on dogs can take a dip in the water. Pets must be leashed, cleaned up after and are not allowed inside any buildings. This park permits hunting in certain areas. To get there from Columbus, take U.S. 33 towards Marysville. The park is about an hour and 15 minutes northwest on U.S. 33.
