A saltwater pool, free breakfast and a location near the waterfront and commuter rail make the Days Inn Barrie a relaxing home base in cottage country. All 78 rooms on three floors include free Wi-Fi, 37-inch flat-panel TVs, microwaves, mini-fridges and coffeemakers; most rooms are non-smoking. A free continental breakfast puts a spring in your step and you can punch the clock in the business center. You'll be off and running in the fitness room or relaxing and recharging in the indoor saltwater pool and hot tub. Parking is free, and pets are welcome. NOTE: The pool and hot tub are closed for renovations until August 30, 2015. Located off Highway 400 at the corner of Essa Road, the Days Inn is a just over a mile from Lake Simcoe and the Allandale Waterfront GO Transit rail station. Cruise 15 minutes south to tee off at the National Pines Golf Club or strap on your skis and head for Snow Valley Resort 20 minutes north. See what's in bloom at the Arboretum in Sunnidale Park 10 minutes north or take the kids to Splash Canyon Water Park, 20 minutes north. Toronto Pearson International Airport is 50 miles south. Free perks and rooms with all the trimmings near a lake, golf course and ski resort score big at the Days Inn.
