| Red Dog is an un-hosted B&B/vacation home nestled on 120 country acres. We are 20 minutes south of I-80, exit 120, Clearfield, and 20 minutes north of I-99, exit 48, Tyrone. A little out of the way, but well worth the stay! Step inside the house to a time gone bye and dine, converse, and prepare your meals in the country kitchen with it's original wood burning cook stove and enjoy it's rustic charm. Relax on the deck and enjoy what nature has to offer. Prepare your families meals on the grill or put a fire in the chininea. Begin your day with a swim in the heated in-ground pool and conclude it with campfire, ghost stories and smor's under the starlit sky. Bring your children, their grandparents as well as your favorite pets. Ask about our pet sitter service if you want to make a day trip and leave your furry friend home. A dog kennel is located on the property for your convenience. Area Description We are located 45 minutes from Penn State~State College, Penn State~Altoona, and Penn State~DuBois. Come stay with us for all your activities and events in State College and at the Bryce Jordan Center. If you are an avid outdoorsman come stay with us for all your activities within a 20-30 minute drive. Bring your ATV or dirt bike and enjoy the day at Rock Run ATV Park. Is wingshooting your passion? Spend time at Warriors Mark Wing Shooting Lodge & Kennel or Pleasant View Pheasants. If you are a fisherman you may want to try your luck at Prince Gallitzin State Park, Curwensville Dam or fly fish at Spruce Creek. Enjoy shopping at Bob's Army & Navy or Grice Gun Shop in Clearfield and Lion Country Supply in Port Matilda for all your hunting supplies. Bring your family for vacation and enjoy day trips only 20-30 minutes away traveling south in and around Altoona, AA-Curve Baseball, Delgrosso's Amusement Park, Lakemont Park, Horseshoe Curve, Altoona Railroaders Memorial Museum, shopping district, and antique shops. When traveling north 20 minutes to Clearfield, you can try a world famous burger at Denny's Beer Barrel Pub, take in a live production at the Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre, or enjoy the activities at the annual Clearfield County Fair. |
