Dogs must be on leash and must be cleaned up after on the grounds. Dogs are not allowed in buildings. Hiking and picnicking areas are avabilable. The Johnstown Flood Museum and site is the story of a wealthy resort, the destruction of a working class city, and an inspiring relief effort. Occurring in 1889, over 2000 people died and more were injured when the dam gave thru, making it one of the worst disasters in our Nation's history.
