It's about a 2 hour trip by car from San Juan due to narrow winding roads, but it take visitors through some of the most breathtaking forests and mountains to be found anywhere on the island. The ancient Taino Indians once inhabited this area and their petroglyphs are located in a stream with other large rocks. A boardwalk gives easy access to the site and a wonderful view of the surrounding area. Leashed dogs are allowed on site; they must be leashed and under their owner's control at all times.
