Located along the eastern shore of Newport, the natural beauty and history of this 3½ mile long trail earned its place on the register as a National Recreation Trail; it also passes through a National Historic District. It begins on Memorial Blvd to the end of Bellevue Avenue with several exit/entrances along the way. They mention to be cautious near rugged and rocky areas. Dogs are allowed on the trail; they must be leashed and under their owner's control at all times.
