This floodplain forest has one of the highest canopies in the world with massive hardwoods and soaring pines that are some of the tallest trees in America, and there is also an abundance of marine/bird/wildlife. Dogs are allowed to go on the canoe tours which are held every other Sunday (weather permitting) and reservations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance. Dogs must be well behaved, leashed, and under their owner's control at all times.
