This 71,000 acre state park is located in the Black Hills. Popular activities at the park include hiking, mountain biking, fishing and more. Many of the hiking trails range in level of difficulty and most of them are between .5 and 3 miles. You can also drive the 18 mile Wildlife Loop Road and look for buffalo (they have a herd of 1,500 bison that freely roam the park), pronghorn antelope, mountain goats, deer, bighorn sheep, elk, wild turkeys and some burros.There is a park entrance fee year round. Pets must be on a 10 foot or less leash when in public use areas and campgrounds. When outside of these areas, pets need to be under immediate control and more than 200 feet from other park guests and pets. Pets are not allowed inside park buildings or within the posted area at zoned swimming beaches. Remember to clean up after your pet.
