With an outdoor pool, hot tub and dry sauna and a location halfway between Mount Rushmore and Devils Tower, the non-smoking Best Western Black Hills Lodge is a relaxing home base for a Black Hills vacation. Pets are welcome for a fee and kids under 18 stay free at this low-rise, 50-room property, where new LCD TVs with HBO compete with mountain views. Also standard in all rooms are free Wi-Fi, refrigerators, microwaves, in-room coffee/tea and desks and dataports for the business travelers. After a free deluxe continental breakfast including hot waffles, guests can relax by the seasonal outdoor heated pool, take a dip in the hot tub or sweat out their stress in the sauna. Other amenities include copy, fax and mail services, a public computer, a newsstand and guest laundry. Parking is free. The hotel is off I-90 and less than a half-mile from downtown Spearfish. Guests can walk 10 minutes to the Spearfish Arts Center, passing several restaurants along the way. The DC Booth Historic Fish Hatchery is a little over a mile away. Mount Rushmore and Devils Tower are each about 60 miles from the hotel, while the casinos of Deadwood are less than 15 miles away. Rapid City Regional Airport is roughly 60 miles away. Modern amenities combine with mountain views at this convenient Best Western, where it's a short walk to town and an easy drive to top national parks.

Dogs up to 80 pounds are allowed. There is a $20 per day pet fee up to $100 for the week. Up to two dogs are allowed per room.
