Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway MP 10.5 at Colorado Boulevard and Scenic Byway/H 14A Spearfish, South Dakota
57783 605-673-9200 Map
From the mouth of canyon at the Spearfish Canyon Country Club this scenic auto tour climbs almost 2000 feet before ending at Cheyenne Crossing at H 85. It is a very unique, bio-diverse area and offers visitors 4 distinct vegetative regions in its 22 miles. Since it is also a commercial highway they caution visitors to be careful when they pull off and enter the highway, and to obey the 35 MPH speed limit. Dogs must be leashed when out of the vehicle.
