La Villita was the original settlement of Old San Antonio. It is one square block in the heart of downtown, and has artists, craftsmen, shops and restaurants. Leashed dogs can accompany you along the streets and window shop or enjoy the architecture of the historic Adobe and Victorian buildings. For dining, try Guadalajara Grill, where well-behaved, leashed dogs are allowed at the outdoor tables. La Villita is located on the east bank of the San Antonio River, near The Alamo. It is located between the following streets: Villita, S. Presa, Alamo and Nueva.
